In this clip by the Estonian Research Council, we several other partners talk about something we’ve loved to work on: designing and building a Cyber Range for experts to use as a training site, when flexing their cyber defence muscles. The objective is to improve the capabilities of Critical Infrastructure Providers to protect the society against potential threats arising with the use of emerging technologies, such as the Internet of Things and next-generation mobile connectivity technologies. We’re so proud to have contributed to this!
A simulated Physical Village was created that comprised multiple Critical Infrastructure applications that make use of different connectivity technologies for end devices. Also, virtual copies of the Physical Village were created, where all the hardware components and communication links were virtualized, enabling training at a larger scale and at a lower cost.
The project was funded by the Estonian Research Council from The European Regional Development Fund program RITA (Action 1: Support for strategic R&D activities).
